Police have arrested two additional suspects in the investigation into the grenade attack on a house in Dehiwala that killed two children and seriously injured their father.
The latest suspects, aged 30 and 31, were arrested in the Dehiwala Police Division on suspicion of aiding and abetting the attack.
Three suspects, including the alleged principal attacker, had previously been arrested and remanded in connection with the investigation.
Additional seizures
Police also recovered approximately 11.96 grams of methamphetamine, commonly known as “Ice”, during the latest phase of the investigation.
A three-wheeler allegedly used in connection with the crime was also seized.
The Western Province South Crimes Division is continuing the investigation.
Arrest does not establish guilt
The arrests and seizures are established police actions.
The precise roles attributed to the suspects remain allegations under investigation and have not been established by a court.

The two children killed in the attack must remain protected from unnecessary identification.
