A man identified by Police as the brother of the organised-crime figure known as “Loku Patty” was shot dead in the Welikanda area of Ahungalla on Thursday night.
Police identified the victim as Lanthuwahandhi Sugath Nuwan Kumara de Silva.
According to Police-attributed reporting, the shooting occurred at around 8.10 p.m. on October 1.
An unidentified gunman reportedly carried out the shooting using a 9mm pistol.
Police confirmed that the victim was the brother of the person known as “Loku Patty”.
Ahungalla Police are conducting further investigations.
