Sri Lanka Police have asked members of the public to help identify reckless and dangerous bus driving by sending information and video evidence through a dedicated WhatsApp hotline.

Deputy Inspector General of Police W.P.J. Senadeera, who is responsible for the Traffic Control and Road Safety Range, said police have already received complaints through the service, including dashcam recordings and smartphone videos.
Members of the public are being asked to provide clear evidence showing details such as the vehicle registration number and route number where possible.
Reports can concern conduct including:
reckless or dangerous driving; racing; stopping improperly on the road; ignoring traffic signals; and * speeding.
Police have also intensified enforcement against driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
The authorities say attention is being directed particularly towards passenger buses as well as other vehicle categories associated with serious road-safety risks.
A report is not proof of an offence
Videos and complaints submitted by members of the public provide information for police investigation.
A public allegation does not by itself establish that a driver committed an offence.
Any enforcement or prosecution must follow the applicable investigation and legal process.
