Ugandan Passenger Arrested at BIA After Cocaine Capsules Found Concealed Inside Body

Sri Lanka Customs has arrested a 43-year-old Ugandan national at Bandaranaike International Airport in connection with suspected cocaine smuggling.

Authorities initially reported recovering 13 capsules containing suspected cocaine, weighing approximately 161 grams.

The reported estimated street value was approximately Rs.7.245 million.

Authorities suspected that additional capsules could remain inside the passenger's body, and medical examination was continuing.
