The Sri Lanka Navy says Fast Attack Craft P 4447 has been successfully raised following the August maritime incident off Angulana.
The craft sank after encountering an emergency on August 15 and was located at a depth of approximately 80 feet.
The Navy says it was raised on September 11 and subsequently towed to Colombo Dockyard. Eleven crew members were rescued following the original incident.
Remains suspected to be those of the craft's missing Second in Command had previously been recovered from the vessel during diving operations.
Cause remains under investigation
The cause of the accident remains subject to investigation. Earlier suggestions concerning possible contact with a submerged wreck are not presented as an established cause.
