Adverse weather affecting Sri Lanka has now affected 1,616 people from 458 families across 10 districts, according to Disaster Management Centre figures.
The DMC reported one death and one person missing as of the latest consolidated assessment.
The figures cover impacts recorded since September 18.
A total of 94 people from 26 families had also been moved to three safe centres.
The latest figures mark a further escalation from the flood, landslide and school-disruption conditions reported earlier.
Landslide and flood risks continue
Landslide warnings remain in effect across multiple districts.
Fourteen districts were reported under landslide alerts, with the highest-level warnings applying to selected areas in six districts.
Flood warnings also remained in effect or were extended for vulnerable river basins, including the Kuda Ganga and Gin Ganga basins.
Residents in officially identified risk areas should continue to follow instructions issued by the DMC, NBRO, Irrigation Department and local authorities.
Low-pressure system remains an indirect influence
The low-pressure system northeast of Sri Lanka over the Bay of Bengal has developed further.
However, it is not expected to directly cross or strike Sri Lanka based on the available meteorological assessment.
The associated circulation and winds are nevertheless helping maintain rainy conditions, particularly over southwestern parts of the country.
The system should not be described as a cyclone striking Sri Lanka unless subsequently classified and forecast accordingly by the relevant meteorological authorities.
