Sri Lanka Cuts Petrol Prices: 92 Octane Falls to Rs.399, 95 Octane to Rs.475

The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (Ceypetco) has reduced the prices of Petrol 92 and Petrol 95 Octane, with the revised prices taking effect from midnight on 30 August.

The price of Petrol 92 has been reduced by Rs.15 per litre, from Rs.414 to Rs.399.

Petrol 95 Octane has been reduced by Rs.20 per litre, from Rs.495 to Rs.475.

Prices of Auto Diesel, Super Diesel and kerosene remain unchanged under the latest Ceypetco revision.

New Ceypetco fuel prices

The revised Ceypetco retail prices are:

  • Petrol 92 Octane - Rs.399 per litre
  • Petrol 95 Octane - Rs.475 per litre
  • Auto Diesel - Rs.382 per litre
  • Super Diesel - Rs.478 per litre
  • Kerosene - Rs.285 per litre

Only the two petrol grades were reduced in this revision.

Petrol 92 reduced by Rs.15

Before the latest adjustment, Petrol 92 was priced at Rs.414 per litre.

The Rs.15 reduction brings the new Ceypetco price to Rs.399 per litre.

Petrol 95 previously cost Rs.495 per litre. Its Rs.20 reduction brings the price to Rs.475.

Diesel and kerosene unchanged

Ceypetco did not announce changes to the prices of Auto Diesel, Super Diesel or kerosene as part of the latest revision.

Their prices therefore remain Rs.382, Rs.478 and Rs.285 per litre respectively.

This article reports the Ceypetco price revision. It should not be treated as confirmation that Lanka IOC, Sinopec or another fuel retailer has implemented identical prices unless separately confirmed.
