The International Cricket Council has released the schedule and group structure for the 2027 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup.
Sri Lanka has been placed in Group B alongside New Zealand, South Africa, England, Bangladesh and Qualifier B.
Group A contains India, Australia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe and Qualifier A.
The 14-team tournament will be staged in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia.
It begins on October 2, 2027 with a three-team Super Series in Windhoek to determine the final Group Stage participant.
The main Group Stage begins on October 7.
Sri Lanka's first scheduled Group B match is against Qualifier B in Windhoek on October 10.
Sri Lanka then plays England on October 13, Bangladesh on October 16, New Zealand on October 20 and South Africa on October 22.
The top three teams from each group, together with the better-performing fourth-placed team across the two groups, advance to the Super 7 stage.
Four teams will subsequently qualify for the semifinals.
The semifinals are scheduled for November 17 and 18, with the final in Johannesburg on November 21.
Sri Lanka secured direct qualification through its position in the ICC Men's ODI Team Rankings at the September 30, 2026 cutoff.
The remaining places will be decided through the World Cup Qualifier and Super Series.
The schedule was officially released by the ICC on October 1, 2026.
