Cabinet has approved procurement by the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka of new spectrum-management and telecommunications service-quality monitoring systems.
The approved procurement is valued at approximately US$9.25 million and forms part of an Asian Development Bank-funded digital-transformation programme.
The systems are intended to strengthen spectrum monitoring and allow network performance and user experience across telecommunications operators to be measured more systematically.
This is procurement approval.
It does not mean the monitoring systems have already been installed or are currently operating nationwide.
