Sri Lanka have advanced to the Women’s Asia Cup 2026 final after defeating Pakistan by four wickets in the second semi-final at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Pakistan scored 130 for five from their 20 overs before Sri Lanka successfully chased the target, reaching 134 for six in 18.4 overs.
Sri Lanka therefore completed the chase with eight balls remaining.
Early pressure on Sri Lanka
The defending champions faced significant pressure during the chase after slipping to 33 for four.
Harshitha Samarawickrama and Kavisha Dilhari then rebuilt the innings and helped restore Sri Lanka's position.
Samarawickrama scored 36 from 31 balls, while Dilhari contributed 33 from 33 balls.
Nilakshika Silva later added an unbeaten late contribution as Sri Lanka completed the chase.
Pakistan's innings
Pakistan captain Fatima Sana made an unbeaten 47 and later took four wickets with the ball.
However, Sri Lanka recovered sufficiently to secure the four-wicket victory.
Final against India
The result sends defending champions Sri Lanka into the tournament final against India.
